Chris was born and raised in Texas and played baseball and tennis up to the collegiate level while attending Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University). He transferred to the University of Texas and received a double major degree in Business Management and Marketing. He worked for Briggs Equipment for 28 years, a large Industrial equipment company, representing many lines of material handling and specialty construction equipment. His career started as a trainee in operations and then moved into sales, management and then leadership positions regionally and ultimately Internationally. He humbly started pulling parts in the warehouse and pressing tires and his last position was President & C.O.O. of Briggs Equipment U.S.A.

When Chris started in 1991 the company had less than 150 employees and revenue was less than $60 million. When he departed the business was over $500 million in revenue with over 1,200 employees. But he was most proud of the charities he was involved with, people he inspired and the culture he instilled of Family, Fun, Integrity, and Success. 


Having a deep desire to own his own business and make an entrepreneurial difference in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area, Chris Joined South Star JCB in 2019. In just one year the business is flourishing and has doubled in revenue and employees. South Star’s mission is to provide customer partners with a deeper level of trust and innovative solutions, for more rewarding relationships than ever experienced before. Best in class service solutions will be matched with innovative products from JCB, a world class manufacturer. Seeing customers and employees develop and thrive in their lives is his passion. 


Chris is married and has three children, Brooks, Sydney & Grant. He enjoys charity involvement, grilling and bourbon, competitive outdoor activities, and traveling to interesting places with his family.
