BILL WEBB

Bill Webb is the founder and CEO of Associated Industries of Texas. At the behest of several Texas business leaders, he created the association in 2020. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the association as well as the execution of the organization’s strategic plan.

Bill is the founder and managing partner of Legacy Management, a Southlake-Texas association and charitable management firm. Previously, Bill served as an operating partner with Fenway Partners, a New York City-based private equity firm with ownership in a variety of portfolio companies in the trucking and logistics, retail, and manufacturing industries. In his position he helped lead the management of the various Fenway properties and their more than 10,000 employees and associates and was involved with acquisition efforts to broaden the Fenway portfolio.

At age 35, Bill was named the Outstanding Leader of the Year by the Texas Motor Transportation Association, becoming the youngest executive to receive that honor. He went on to serve 10 years as the President and CEO of that organization, the Austin, Texas-based trade association representing the trucking and logistics industry operating in Texas. He served as the association’s chief lobbyist and spokesman and led a professional staff responsible for local, state and federal regulatory and political relations. He grew the organization from 400 members to more than 1,000 and grew revenue from $400,000 annually to more than $1.2 million annually and grew reserves to in excess of $2 million. He was responsible for an annual conference, industry trade show, and educational conferences.

Bill is active in state and national efforts related to his work in transportation and logistics and oil and gas, previously serving as Chairman of the Board of the Trucking Profitability Strategies Conference at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and serving as a member of Transportation Research Board. He is also affiliated with various national and state industry groups. He was elected national chairman of the Trucking Association Executives Council in 2005 and previously served as chairman of the American Trucking Association’s Driver Issues Task Force.

He is the author of the book, Igniting The Blue Flame: Answering The Call To Leadership which capitalizes on his work over the past two decades in developing the Blue Flame Project, a national leadership initiative. He delivers keynote speeches and leadership training sessions throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Bill and his wife Jill, along with son Clayton, and twin sons Brandon and Hayden, live in Southlake, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. He is active in a number of charitable causes, is a leader in the Longhorn Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and serves on the board of various community and charitable organizations.
